Betterment is an app-based financial platform that simplifies the investment process – providing a different perspective on finances for its users. We were asked to collaborate with our friend and photographer Rick Guest to help produce still and video imagery for Betterment’s first ever print campaign and television commercial, designed to convey a sense of confidence and expertise from a trusted brand leader. You only get one chance to make a first impression – so we knew how important this production was.
In our experience, the more the experience on set matches the look and feel the photographer is trying to capture, the better the results – so our role as producer was to provide an on-set experience that reflected Betterment’s brand personality, from start to finish. We also ensured that same approach was applied throughout the retouching process, ensuring we delivered on Rick’s vision while maintaining the integrity of the shoot for the entire job.
The images and video we delivered feel open, honest, and welcoming – the perfect personification of the brand for a new generation of investors.
