We joined actor and artist Boyd Holbrook for a weekend in Malibu leading up to the release of the new Netflix thriller: In the Shadow of the Moon co-starring Michael C. Hall and Cleopatra Coleman. Boyd plays a Philadelphia police detective following a serial killer who murders each victim every 9 years: Holbrook stated: “Going into so many eras, fast-forwarding 9 years each chapter- it was a rubix cube to figure out.”
Originally a model, fronting campaigns and walking runways for brands such as Gucci, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Moschino and Jean Paul Gaultier, Boyd is also a screenwriter and gained attention from acclaimed director Gus Van Sant by sending him a screenplay that landed him a role in 2007’s ‘Milk.’
Holbrook is also a sculptor and has had his work displayed in NYC’s P.P.O.W gallery in Chelsea. Holbrook will be starring in the upcoming B.J Novak series, ‘Platform’ addressing gun control, set to be released at the end of the year.

Misfits Market, the Philly-based produce supplier (now available in NYC) rebranded and launched a new campaign reaffirming their commitment to provide affordable access to fresh and healthy food. Misfits is about salvaging the misshapen, or oddly sized fruits and vegetables that would otherwise be thrown away, and delivering them to households across the United States. Misfits states: “Every box of produce you order benefits farmers, helps prevent food waste, and ultimately helps save our environment.” Accompanying the launch of the new campaign for each subscription sold, Misfits donated 10lbs of food to their local hunger organization in Philadelphia. VS is proud to collaborate and work with like minded brands that share the same initiatives.
In honor of Pride Month 2019 Netflix launched an instagram platform- Prism, to celebrate the LGBTQ community. As part of the campaign, the featured Netflix stars such as the Queer Eye ensemble, Isis King, Laverne Cox and Quintessa spoke on overcoming obstacles in their personal lives and the representation of the queer community in Hollywood. VS was proud to be a part of the celebration of self love and self empowerment. Netflix tweeted: “We believe that everyone deserves to see themselves on screen, which is why we’ve brought together some of our biggest LGBTQ stars to share their own personal stories and journeys, it’s why we’ve nearly doubled the number of LGBTQ characters in our shows and movies in the last 12 months.”
Tom Brady became the new brand ambassador for IWC Schaffhausen late last month so VS traveled to Brady’s home headquarters near Boston to facilitate IWC and Joe Pugliese’s production needs. IWC tweeted: “We are pleased to announce our partnership with Tom Brady. With 6 Super Bowl titles, 4 Super Bowl MVP Awards, 3 League MVP Awards, and 16 Division titles he embodies greatness, and together with IWC, he shares principles of excellence and timeless style.” We couldn’t agree more!
Broadcast journalist, former NBC news-anchor and television host Tamron Hall, speaks on her struggle with IVF treatments; and the increasing commonality of having children at a later age than once typically considered the norm. VS was happy to facilitate all post production needs.
